She was a member of the United Methodist Church and had been employed for many years as a telephone operator in Richmond, Kansas. Her husband preceded her in death as did five brothers and two sisters. She was survived by her son, Walter Beal; her daughter, Viola Fern Tice; her sister, Mrs. John Kennedy of 840 S. Oak; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

    Maude married Walter Cleghorn Beal on 15 May 1907 in Ottawa, Franklin, Kansas, United States. Walter was born on 12 May 1879 in Princeton, Franklin, Kansas, United States; died on 16 Nov 1955 in Richmond, Franklin, Kansas, United States; was buried on 19 Nov 1955 in Highland Cemetery, Harrison, Newton, Franklin, Kansas, United States.
