    According to the 1900 Williams County, Ohio Census, Julia is the mother of six children with only three surviving as of that time and both of her parents were born in Pennsylvania.

    Julia is not mentioned as a surviving sibling in her sister, Susan's, obituary in 1914.

    Julia is buried next to her husband, Benjamin, and her markers states "J.M. Sholty, Mother, his wife"

    Julia married Benjamin Franklin Sholty on 28 Jul 1853 in Hancock, Ohio, United States. Benjamin was born on 19 Mar 1824 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States; died on 13 Jan 1904 in Williams, Ohio, United States; was buried in Floral Grove Cemetery, Madison, Williams, Ohio, United States.     According to the 1910 Hillsdale County, Michigan Census, Winfield was a farmer who resided in Camden Twp. with his wife, Ida. Their daughter, Carrie Sholty, also resided with them.

    Winfield married Ida A. Bryan on 21 Jan 1878 in Hillsdale, Michigan, United States. Ida was born in 1855 in Michigan, United States; died in 1923; was buried in Cambria, Hillsdale, Michigan, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Eloise Whitman and had two sons, Richard and John Shannon; Richard is Kate's father.
