  William H. Stambaugh signed as guardian for the inheritance of his three minor siblings, including Emily, from their grandfather, Henry's, estate in 1866. In the 1860 Clark County, Illinois Census, Emily and her siblings reside with David and Margaret Smith in Marshall Twp. In the 1870 Cumberland County, Illinois Census, Emily (she may be called Annie in this Census) resides in Greenup with David and Margaret Smith and her brothers, William and George.
