  • Notes
    • "On 8 mo. 15, 1719, a double wedding took place at the house of Jonas Potts, at which two of his daughters were married. In one of the Certificates, Jonas Potts is said to be of Gilberts Manor, and in the other, of Perqueoman Creek. It is said that after the festivities of this double wedding, the newly married young couples left for their respective homes on horseback, each bride mounted behind her husband."
