  1. 1.  Edmund Hayes was born on 3 Oct 1824 in Reading, Berks, Pennsylvania, United States (son of Hon. Alexander Hayes and Isabella Patterson); died on 26 Nov 1853 in At Sea.

    Notes:

    Edmund was a Lt in the U.S. Army and graduated #11 from West Point with the most famous class in it's history, the Class of 1846.

    He was an Artillary Officer, a vetern of the Mexican War, member of the Aztec Club of 1847.

    He died at sea, in 1853, while sailing from Brazos, Santiago to New Orleans, Lousianna. He died of Yellow Fever.

    He was at the siege of Vera Cruz during March of 1847 and at Colaboea in July 1847.
