    Notes:

    He was one of the three delegates chosen to represent Maryland in the Continental Convention of 1765. He was a member of the Convention of Maryland which met at Annapolis in 1776. He was one of the earliest victims in Maryland of the opposition, during the early revolutionary period, to the importation of English goods.
